  6. Please note that FWUI is a purely fictious file format and is used here
  7. only to avoid mentioning the real format which, for bizarre reasons,
  8. I am not allowed to develop or distribute.

  10.     Basically the reason for coding this came the other day when I tried
  11. to batch convert a load of IFFs into another compressed 256 colour format
  12. using widely on the internet (from hereafter referred to as FWUI).
  13. I ended up using a bizarre contraption involving selotape and a auto-firing 
  14. joypad to get over the irritating interface that comes up when you ask in 
  15. Arexx to save a FWUI image.

  17.     Strangely the original devleopers of pgs decided to only implement
  18. Arexx in a few of the GIOs, very odd.  Anyways for the benefit of the
  19. rest of yous here is the notification of the offical release of FWUI.gio 
  20. with Arexx support.  As I am not allowed to distribute FWUI.gio you may
  21. retrive the archive from:

  25.     Seeing as Almathera are now defunct I guess I am the only resort
  26. Photogenics users have of support ATM; unless some other arrangement
  27. is made with ex-Almathera staff.  IF anyone has any problems with
  28. Photogenics 2 they are more than welcome to contact me if they have
  29. no joy with either Paul Nolan or Joylon Ralph directly.  (I am an
  30. ex-Almathera developer myself)
